About Candidate

As a technical product manager in my previous role at Amazon Alexa, I designed, planned and executed on short term (1 year) and long term (3 year) product/feature roadmap to drive customer growth, engagement and build a revenue stream for the company.

To build the roadmap, I used quantitative and qualitative research tools. Extracted insights from customer engagement data, conducted hundreds of customer interviews & surveys in partnership with the research team, scanned the competitive landscape and drove architectural design optimizations to reduce cost of operation.

The output of the research was a four-pillar product roadmap with (1) reducing churn by fixing feature gaps and addressing paper cuts (2) New feature development and launches (3) recommendation services to drive habitual use and (4) lower costs by migrating in-house tech stack to AWS and tools built by other amazon entities.

As an example, I drove the launch of improving the media quality, time to connect on Alexa Calling and Drop In by 60% YoY, launched augmented reality and avatars on calls driving habitual customer engagement by 13% YoY, saved ~900K USD annually and 3 SDE’s allotted to on-call and maintenance by transitioning pieces of the tech stack to AWS.

My background in engineering – Spent close to a decade in working up and down the tech stack, certifications in Machine Learning, cloud and past experience in driving mass scale cloud projects and adoption enables me to dive deep on conversations with my engineering stakeholders and have an understanding on the complexity and build a high confidence project timeline. My stakeholders value and recognize me for being for the balance between pragmatism and creativity and for building products iteratively.
